- What is an impact point?
- An impact point is equal to one tab! Every search you make on Search for a Cause is worth 26 impact points and Shop for a Cause impact points depend on how much each purchase raises for charity. Referring a friend to Tab for a Cause will earn you 1000 impact points.
- Is the leaderboard just for my specific cause or is it across all of Tab for a Cause?
- The leaderboard is only for the currently active group goal on your specific cause.
- Does the leaderboard reset each time a group goal is completed?
- Yes! Each time a group goal is completed, the leaderboard starts over giving you a brand new chance to climb to the top!
- If I switch to supporting a different cause, will I lose my place on the leaderboard?
- Because you’ll be starting on a new group goal, you will lose your current place on the leaderboard, but because the leaderboard resets with each group goal, it won’t be long until everyone else is starting over with you giving you a fair chance to reach first place! Your progress on the original goal will still be saved if you decide to switch back before that group goal is completed.
- I can see the users in 1st through 3rd place and then the two users closest to me in points. Does this mean I’m at the bottom of the leaderboard?
- Probably not! We only show the top 3 users and the users closest to you right now so just because you don’t see users below you doesn’t mean you’re in last.
- I have Search for a Cause installed but the leaderboard only shows me using Tab for a Cause
- The Search for a Cause icon will reappear once you make your first search of that group goal. The leaderboard icons are showing what you used to gain impact points in this specific group goal.
- I use Shop for a Cause but don’t see it on the leaderboard, where is it?
- We’re currently working to get Shop for a Cause properly integrated into the leaderboard. It’ll be there soon!
- I just made a search/opened a new tab but my leaderboard score didn't change. What happened?
- Sometimes our leaderboard can take a minute or two to update. Your new tab or search might not be reflected in your score immediately but it will be there real soon!
